Brittany lost her job at the height of the pandemic and recently paid a big portion of the back rent. Out of thin air the management company tacked on an additional $1400 to the amount she owes, even after the first judgment was made and the amount she owes was settled in court. There was no explanation of where the $1400 originated from and she is not the only tenant in her building experiencing this predatory behavior.
